The Town is seeking resident input on:

  • Regional Councillor Election – Preferred method for electing the Town’s two Regional Councillors for the Region of Peel Council.

  • Alternative Voting Methods – Preferred ways to cast ballots before election day.

Your input will help inform Council’s decision on the format and technologies that may be used for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections.

Currently, Regional Councillors are elected by Ward, but Council could change this to an at-large system, where all voters select two Regional Councillors from one list of candidates.

Please complete the survey by Thursday, April 22, 2025. The feedback received will help develop a staff report at the General Committee meeting on May 6, 2025.

The upcoming municipal election is currently scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026.
