    March 2022

    Change is happening!

The Downtown Bolton Revitalization is making progress on action items from the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan:

    Public Art and Placemaking

Three locations have been identified as potential public art installations. We are identifying artists and working with local vendors with the goal of having our first project installed this spring, with more to come in the summer and fall.

    Marketing

We are developing themes and concepts for use in shared marketing and promotion efforts. Task Force members have brainstormed ideas for a Downtown Bolton brand kit that any business or community group can use to promote Downtown Bolton.

    Wayfinding

As part of the first phase of a Town-wide tourism wayfinding signage program, staff has identified four locations within Downtown Bolton that will direct trail-users and pedestrians to amenities such as washrooms, food and drink, bike repair stands and other points of interest. Signage is expected to be unveiled in Spring 2022.

    Invasive Species

This winter we found – and removed -- invasive species along several sections of the path along the Humber River. Now, thanks to the clearing of vegetation, we have created beautiful views of the river for pedestrians or cyclists to enjoy.

    Bike Repair Station

As part of a Healthy Communities Grant, a bike repair station will be installed at Bolton Mill Park this spring.

    Events

In partnership with the BIA and the Bolton Community Crew, a variety of events are scheduled for 2022. Stay tuned to learn more about events.

Additional Action Items identified are in the process of implementation. Have any questions or ideas? Please reach out!
