The Town of Caledon is in the final stages of updating the Town Wide Design Guidelines and is hosting a Public Open House to discuss and share the progress with residents, business owners, development industry, and various agencies that are involved in Caledon. Following the public survey sent to the community in May, the Town Wide Design Guidelines incorporated feedback received into the structure, layout, and content of the guidelines.
The Town Wide Design Guidelines provides comprehensive design, landscape, and architectural solutions to support the creation of sustainable complete communities. This ambitious design framework will assist in developing new and existing communities that are built around health, safety, integration with nature, and compatible with the surrounding community character.
The Open House will be held in the atrium of Town Hall on Thursday December 5th from 5-7pm. There will be visuals displayed outlining the purpose and opportunities the new Town Wide Design Guidelines provide for the Town, as well as staff present to answer any questions. All are welcome to attend.
Through Council endorsement, the updated TWDG will complement the new Official Plan and be used to direct development at all stages of the development approvals process. Help shape Caledon’s future and have your say today.
