Victoria Parks Park Redevelopment Project Updates

Past Progress:

In the fall of 2024, the Town of Caledon held a public open house to seek feedback from the community to help shape the future redevelopment concept of Victoria Parks Park, located at 35 Victoria Crescent, in Mono Mills, Caledon. Following the open house, a summary of the feedback and responses to some of the questions received was prepared by the Town and is available at Victoria Parks Park Open House: Resident Feedback Summary.

In the spring of 2025, the Town engaged a Landscape Architect Consultant to complete the detailed design for the redevelopment of the park. The proposed concept for the site that was presented at the Open House was refined based on the community feedback received and preliminary design review

In August 2025, a community vote on two different playground design concepts was completed. Based on your feedback from the community vote, the preferred design is Concept 1.

The key features of this concept include: climbing tower, tall curved slide and two smaller slides, zipline, inclusive spinner, climber, interactive panels, swing set with one inclusive seat, one toddler seat, two belt swings, and one disc swing.

We thank all the engaged residents who took the time to share their preference for the future playground design in Victoria Parks Park.

The detailed design has been completed for the park and is pending final external agency approvals. The redevelopment of Victoria Parks Park was approved within the Town's 2026 budget and will include existing parking upgrades, pathway network, park lighting, a new playground, shade structure, double dedicated pickleball double court, seating and planting.

Current Status:
The Town has initiated a procurement process to engage a Contractor to construct the redeveloped park. For efficient project delivery and to minimize construction impacts, the park improvements have been combined with improvements to the Victoria Parks Community Centre parking lot, were new electric vehicle charging stations will also be installed. Construction of the park is planned to begin late Spring to early Summer 2026 with a targeted completion timing of Fall 2026.
