Caledon East Community Complex Expansion

Just under two years after breaking ground, the Caledon East Community Complex (CECC) expansion project will be complete, and the facility fully reopen for use on September 5, 2023, with an official grand opening event set for September 16.

Some of the new CECC features will include:

• a swimming pool;
• fitness centre and studio;
• library with maker space;
• indoor walking track overlooking a full-size gymnasium;
• an outdoor rink and pavilion;
• multi-purpose and meeting spaces; and
• a dedicated section for an enhanced Sports Hall of Fame.

Staff are working to complete the final stages of construction and preparing for the opening. In addition to finishing the building, staff are preparing programming, schedules, facilities and equipment, and onboarding the staff required to provide services when the facility reopens in September.
