McLaughlin Road Municipal Class Environmental Assessment - Lippa Drive to King Street

Following the recommendations of the Town’s 2024 Multi-Modal Transportation Master Plan (MMTMP), the Town of Caledon (Town) is initiating a study to assess options for the widening and urbanization of McLaughlin Road from Lippa Drive to King Street to support the multi-modal transportation network and accommodate increased travel demand resulting from planned growth in the Town, including the new urban area within the study area.

The study will be completed in accordance with a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process (Municipal Engineers Association, 2024) to address the following sections of the McLaughlin Road corridor:

  • Section A – McLaughlin Road from Lippa Drive to Old School Road
  • Section B – McLaughlin Road from Old School Road to King Street

Your input is a key component of this study! A Public Consultation Centre is planned for Spring 2026 where members of the public can learn about the project, ask questions and share their thoughts. Additional information about this project will be updated as it becomes available.

Please contact the project team members below if you have questions, comments, or would like to be included on the Project Contact List to receive notices about the project.
